Search “forex no deposit bonus” and you get ads that sound like free lots with no money down. Treat that as marketing until you can name the legal entity, the credit size, the volume rule, and the cash-out cap. Peak Pips does not rank “best no-deposit bonus 2026”. We write how the product usually works so you do not confuse a tiny credit with a withdrawal.
What a no-deposit bonus usually is
Most offers put a small amount of trading credit on a new account without a first deposit. That credit can pad margin. It is often not withdrawable as cash. Profit, if any, may be capped (tens or a few hundred dollars is a common shape) and still waits on a lot-volume target, an expiry window, and a list of products that “count”. Some firms cancel the credit if you deposit, if you hedge, or if you withdraw anything before the volume is done. None of this is universal: the PDF on your entity is the contract.
It is a cousin of a welcome bonus, not a better one. Welcome credit usually needs a deposit. No-deposit credit skips the deposit and usually tightens everything else: smaller number, stricter volume, tighter cash-out.
Five lines to copy before you click claim
- Entity. The company on the account form, not the logo. A promo landing page and a regulated arm are often different companies. Confirm the name the way we describe in how to verify a broker.
- Credit size and max cash-out. If the banner says $50 and the terms cap withdrawable profit at $50, you already know the ceiling.
- Volume / rollover. How many lots, on which pairs, in how many days. Scalping, news trades, or “EA trades” that do not count are classic clauses. Copy the formula, not the banner.
- What happens if you deposit later. Mixing a no-deposit credit with real money can change the withdrawal waterfall. Read how to read a withdrawal policy before you send a cent.
- Stop-out and max lot. Tiny credit plus a wide gold stop is still a wipe. See leverage and margin.
Licence beats a “no deposit” banner
Some well-known retail rulebooks restrict or ban this kind of promo. An entity that still shouts “no deposit bonus” may not be the register you thought you had. Start with what a licence covers and the regulated shortlist. Line two names up on compare brokers if you even need a second ticket. A clone site with a “free $50” form is still a clone — how to spot one.
Cost still exists while you “work off” free credit
Every round turn still pays spread and/or commission. A volume target on a $20 credit can cost more in friction than the credit is worth. Use the worksheet in spread vs commission. A demo will not show a payout either — demo vs live.
Where Peak Pips stands
We will not publish a live table of no-deposit offers. They change by country and by entity, and we will not invent terms. If you came here for a shortlist, use how to choose a broker first, then decide whether any promo is even on the table. Peak Pips does not credit your account. Leveraged CFDs can wipe a deposit — or a tiny credit — either way. Risk disclaimer.
Common question
Can I withdraw a forex no-deposit bonus as cash? Usually not the credit itself. Many offers let you trade on it; cash-out, if it exists at all, waits on volume, expiry, and a profit cap. If the terms page is vague, do not click claim to “read it later” — claiming is often the moment the strings attach.
